USBC Concludes 42 Years of Service in Rosarito Beach

Despite six months of active outreach, no members stepped forward to serve on the 2026–2027 Executive Board. While the current Board has fully met its responsibilities, USBC cannot legally operate without a functioning Executive Board for the upcoming term. As a result, dissolution became the only viable option.

The United Society of Baja California (USBC) held its final General Assembly on December 9, 2025,
at the Rosarito Beach Hotel. With the agenda dedicated to the dissolution of the 42-year-old organization, the meeting marked the end of an era. More than 20 attendees were present, including active members and invited representatives from several Rosarito Beach municipal departments, including FRAO, Asociación Pro Bomberos de Rosarito, DIF, and a member of the City Council.

For more than four decades, USBC stood as a bridge between the foreign resident community and Rosarito Beach. It served as a cornerstone for newcomers seeking support and guidance while continually giving back to the local community. Despite revitalization efforts by the current administration, USBC ultimately faced declining participation, changing social patterns, and generational shifts in how people connect. With these challenges in mind, the membership voted to dissolve the organization.

To every member, volunteer, partner, and friend who contributed to USBC’s mission—thank you.
Your support made everything possible.
Your dedication ensured USBC will be remembered with pride.
Together, we made a difference.
And together, our legacy will live on.

“When my Mother passed away after living in Rosarito for 15 years, USBC helped me handle her final arrangements. I don't know how I would have figured it out without their help”
